Week 7

From the parable of the unjust steward we learn that we need to be wise with our money while here on earth because it does not come with us in the next time. We need to use to help others around us and not just hoard it.

From the parable about Lazarus and the rich man we gain greater insight into how the spirit world works and the Lord role in opening the way for the gospel to be preached unto those in prison.

From this we learn that the Lord asked them to go see a priest as a sign of their faith but we also learn that there was only 1 that showed his gratitude for what he had been given.

The parable of the unjust judge helps us to see the importance of prayer and consistent pleading before the Lord. In reading about the unjust judge how much more rather would God listen to his children that are asking for his help.

I was glad to have the institute manual to teach me about this parable because it was something that I had always overlooked. It is teaching that we cannot earn justification and salvation on our own. We should never think that our self-righteousness is enough.
